1. August 19, 2026

   Automatic awards pause when nobody is using the app

   • •If no parent opens BravoPoints for a while, recurring chores stop awarding points on their own. Points should reflect what actually happened, not pile up while the app sits unopened.
   • •The delay is yours to set in the parent console (3 weeks by default, or 0 to never pause). Opening the console starts the clock again.

2. August 8, 2026

   “To do today” for kids

   • •Child View now opens with what is still to do today — daily chores that have not been done yet, and weekly ones on the day they belong to. It disappears when everything is done.
   • •Tapping “I did it!” now gives an instant celebration and a sound, so kids get a reward the moment they press.
   • •Fixed: chores you give repeatedly (like “be kind” or “help out”) could not be self-reported a second time, and the app wrongly showed “Sent” when the request had not gone through.
   • •Fixed: the parent console sometimes flashed a “could not load your family data” message during a normal sign-in.
   • •BravoPoints is made by a dad in Gatineau who also makes Quizbec, a free bilingual quiz game built on the Quebec curriculum. There is now a link between the two.

3. July 27, 2026

   Kids can mark their own chores done

   • •Turn it on per child in Family setup. “Ask me first” sends you a request to approve before points are given; “Trust them” awards right away. Off by default.
   • •A “Waiting for your OK” panel sits at the top of Daily actions, with Approve, Not yet, and Approve all.
   • •Chores can now belong to just one child — assign them under “Who is this for”, on tasks and rewards alike.
   • •New chores are one-off by default; the repeat options moved under an optional section.

4. July 16, 2026

   New parent guides

   • •A new Guides section at bravopoints.ca/guides — practical reads on chore apps for blended families, co-parenting across two homes, and setting point values. In English and French.

5. July 15, 2026

   Try it before you sign up

   • •New interactive demo at bravopoints.ca/demo — give points, add a task, and redeem rewards with a pretend family. No account needed.
   • •A clearer home page that finally shows the app: the kid dashboard, the parent console, and the avatar studio.

6. July 12, 2026

   A whole new cast of avatars

   • •Canadian park photo backdrops now show in full — including that Peggy’s Cove lighthouse.
   • •28 new characters — 16 kids of every background plus moose, beaver, penguin, dragon, dino, koala, raccoon, tiger, puppy, kitten, lion, and red panda — with redrawn favourites, 7 new hats, new glasses, and new held items.
   • •A friendlier avatar studio: big category tabs and Kids / Animals / Magic groups instead of one long list.
   • •Point history is now fully translated, including dates and the read-aloud voice.
   • •Download your family’s full data any time — spreadsheet or JSON — from the parent console.

   Install to your home screen + founder pricing

   • •On a phone, BravoPoints now offers a one-tap install to your home screen — it works just like an app.
   • •Founder annual plan: the first 28 families lock in $19/yr for life.

8. July 10, 2026

   Built for blended families + a friendlier kid dashboard

   • •Per-child caregiver access: invite a stepparent or grandparent and choose exactly which kids they can see.
   • •Kids get a collapsible "Ways to earn" list, progress bars on rewards, and read-aloud buttons for pre-readers.
   • •Avatar choices now follow your child across devices.

   Weekly family digest + referrals

   • •A short Sunday email recaps each child’s week — points earned, rewards enjoyed.
   • •Refer a family: they get 15 extra trial days, you get 30 free days.
